Although a few of us working at Bekin are related (and who isn’t in Hawaii?), we were brought together by the love of good old-fashioned hard work and pride in what we build. Construction is a very transient industry, but our company is not. Our crew proudly work at Bekin on a daily basis. You’ll see the same familiar faces doing the work they love.
(We haven’t had the time to pin down everyone for their bios, but here’s a start!)
Mr. Kin Vai Wong
Owner, Cabinetmaker and Finish Carpenter
Mr. Wong may be the owner, but he’s got his hands in all the jobs that pass through the shop. He is first and foremost a carpenter, and likes it that way. Happiest when he’s doing carpentry, you’ll typically find Mr. Wong in the wood shop or on a job site. He works on all the custom cabinetry and is also the lead carpenter on almost every on-site remodeling project.
Originally from Macau, Mr. Wong has spent the last 20 years in Hawaii working in the construction industry and raising his family. He specializes in cabinetmaking and finish carpentry. As a carpenter, he can plumb and level like no one’s business, but like a true old school carpenter, he also loves working with curves.
Adam enjoys finding the best solutions for homeowners remodeling or building a new kitchen and/or bathroom. Although his expert knowledge stems from hands-on experience with remodeling, Adam’s passion lies in working with people and delivering the highest level of service.
Design Consultant and Business Manager
April enthusiastically joined her uncle, Mr. Wong, at Bekin in 2015 to truly make this a family affair. With a 20-year background in design, April has a sharp eye for aesthetics, but a thoughtful mind for practicality.
